bald werden ja langsam die alten MEADE SWA und UWAs unter den Hammer kommen, die neuen Okulare wurden ja bereits präsentiert. Da mir noch ein WW Okular im Bereich 16-22mm fehlt (3-4mm AP), habe ich auch mal kurz an das SWA 18mm (1,25", 67°sGF) gedacht.
Todd Gross("weatherman.com") beschreibt es ja eher euphorisch, während die Einträge bei excelsis.com eher gemischt und manche doch sehr negativ sind. Gross gibt einen Eyerelief (Augenabstand) von gut 16-19mm an, während auf excelsis.com gestöhnt wird, dass der eher bei 8-12mm liegt. Brauchbares Bildfeld geht von: "randscharf" bis etwa 60% scharf, selbst bei schnelleren Newton-Optiken f/4.5 bis f/6...
Was sind Eure Erfahrungen mit dem Teil??

The 18mm Superwide.. Eye relief is comfortable, and people with glasses should just be able to make it, around 16mm, or 18mm or so. Planetary views are extremely crisp, and the edge of field is a bit out of focus mostly in fast scopes. The 18mm is one of the best possible eyepieces to use in a binoviewer because of it's easy of viewing, comfortable eye relief, and small size.

for their time, the Wide-Fields/SWAa are a design generation behind the Panoptics.
The Panoptic does cost more though. Your move.
